Yibain Emile-Aimé Chah is a visual artist and filmmaker whose works has been exhibited in and out of Cameroon. As a geology student, he illustrated for a “Study at the University of Buea” brochure amongst many other artistic services.
He won Best Plastic Artist for the First edition of a University Festival of Arts and Culture for all state Universities organized in Ngaoundere, the in later years he represented the NorthWest at one moment and the SouthWest at another at a couple of National Cultural Festivals.
As filmmaker, he’s a Producer, Director, Production Designer, Writer, Editor and most of all a Cinematographer, and is currently listed amongst the leading African Cinematographers.
He owns a production outfit (Y-Colony Pictures), which is part of a synergy of production outfits known as CORE UNIT GROUP. He was once a member of the pioneer Board Of Delegates of the Cameroon Film Industry (CFI) and helped design the initial blueprint of its current ProductionCode. He continues to put in his efforts in flustering the growth of the film industry in Cameroon.
